According to CoinMeta, Paraguayan authorities dismantled two illegal Bitcoin mining facilities in the department of Upper Paraná, seizing a total of 35 mining devices. The National Electricity Administration (ANDE) seized 10 mining machines in the Minga Guaz district and imposed a fine of approximately 1.76 billion guaraníes (about $30,000), while 25 mining devices were confiscated in the Remansito community of the city of Oriental. This operation was carried out jointly by the ANDE, the national police, and the procuratorate. The House of Representatives has passed a resolution requiring ANDE to submit a report on the electricity consumption, electricity pricing system, and regulatory situation of crypto mining facilities within 15 working days.
