Oracle $18B AI Loan Transactions Approach 90 Cents, Credit Market Issues Warning Signals
2026-09-20 21:58:44
According to CoinMeta, the current trading price of the $18 billion project’s loan is close to 90 cents, due to delays, rising debt, and the pressure on its infrastructure from BBB - credit rating downgrades. As reported by The Financial Times, the loan of about $18 billion is being quoted between 89 and 91 cents per dollar. This does not mean that Oracle has defaulted; rather, investors are demanding to purchase what was originally expected to be more easily allocated debt at a significant discount. The project Jupiter is currently at least seven months delayed, with development affected by complex issues such as permits, energy infrastructure, and local opposition. Nevertheless, Oracle’s cloud infrastructure revenue has recently increased by 121%, indicating that its cloud business is expanding rapidly.
