CoinMeta data: According to data from the U.S. Treasury Department, as of September 16, foreign holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds decreased significantly in July, with the total holdings falling by $50.4 billion to $9.248 trillion, the lowest level since October 2025. China and Japan were the main countries that reduced their holdings. Nevertheless, July's data showed that foreign buyers remained important participants in the U.S. government debt market, with a net inflow of $83.7 billion.
