Zano Blockchain Rolled Back by One Month Due to Vulnerability
2026-09-28 09:19:16
According to CoinMeta, the Zano blockchain has been rolled back to a block height prior to the hard fork 6, which means about a month of blockchain history was reversed. This rollback was necessary due to a vulnerability involving gateway addresses that allowed unauthorized Zano and Freedom Dollar to enter circulation. The Zano team stated that this rollback will invalidate all legitimate transactions made during that period, and reconciliation will be required. The team is working on establishing compensation and claims procedures to address any potential losses. Zano's marketing director, Quinten Van Welzen, explained that the rollback is aimed at restoring the fixed supply commitments made by each holder.
