According to CoinMeta, Qatar has extended the force majeure period for liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipments to Asia and Europe until November, due to the ongoing disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz that continue to hinder energy flows. Qatar National Petroleum Corporation (QNP) notified Pakistan and Bangladesh this week that LNG shipments will be canceled until November. In addition, at least one Indian buyer has also been informed that this measure will continue to be in effect. Edison Company of Italy stated that the force majeure situation for its LNG supply will last until early December. Since the outbreak of the Iran war, Qatar National Petroleum Corporation has been informing LNG customers about the force majeure circumstances and canceling scheduled deliveries on a monthly basis.
