According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Axios, artificial intelligence companies, private equity firms, and unions are focusing on data center issues beyond 2026 and have jointly formed a new alliance costing millions of dollars, named the "American Infrastructure Alliance." The aim of this alliance is to promote "responsible growth" in seven key states. They hope to collaborate with state and local officials to establish standards and regulatory guidelines for data center construction in 2027, in order to avoid bans on new projects. The organization plans to initiate its activities in Texas, Georgia, Ohio, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and South Carolina first, and has received support from Blackstone Group, OpenAI, QTS, and SoftBank Group. It has also garnered responses from major unions, including the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).
