Coinbase Launches Seven Tokenized U.S. Tech Stocks; Users Can Borrow via USDC
2026-09-29 03:01:36
CoinMeta US stock news: Coinbase announces the launch of seven tokenized US tech stocks on top of the AAVE V4 infrastructure. Eligible users outside of the United States can use these assets as collateral to borrow USDC. The assets covered by this update include AAPL, AMZN, GOOGL, META, MSFT, NVDA, and TSLA. Chainlink provides on-chain pricing data for new markets. Users cannot borrow stock tokens or open equity-to-equity positions. Each token has its own collateral factor, and USDC is the only asset that can be borrowed. The AAVE governance proposal describes the equity center as a USDC reserve and a lending branch; the lending branch aggregates all available collateral in the market. Users can deposit any combination of the seven Coinbase tokenized stocks and then borrow USDC based on the collateral factor of each asset. The AAVE crypto market continues to operate, allowing users to supply, borrow, repay, and withdraw at any time. Corporate actions may result in a temporary suspension of the affected reserves until the revision of the application token's multiplier.
