PrimeXBT Insights: Whether Bitcoin will continue to rise during the bond selling spree remains to be seen
2026-09-29 05:04:12
CoinMeta data: PrimeXBT's senior market analyst Jonatan Randin pointed out that Bitcoin rebounded after the interest rate hike, but whether it can continue to rise amidst the turmoil in the bond market remains uncertain. On September 15th, the Clear Act failed to pass in the Senate, and the following day the Federal Reserve raised interest rates to 3.75% to 4.00%. Bitcoin once fell below $75,000, but rebounded to $87,000 a week later. On September 23rd, the yield on 10-year U.S. Treasury bonds rose by more than 18 basis points, marking the largest single-day increase since April 2025, and the following day the yield surpassed 5.2%, the highest since 2007. Although markets were expecting an interest rate hike, the scale of bond selling was uncertain and could put pressure on Bitcoin. Analysis shows that there has been significant volatility in Bitcoin's ETF inflows and outflows recently, reflecting different views in the market regarding future trends.
