CoinMeta US stock news: Today, Wall Street performed poorly, with declines in stocks, bonds, and gold. Due to the ongoing tensions between the US and Iran, oil prices remained above $100, and traders increased their bets on another interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve. The S&P 500 index fell by 0.8%, almost erasing the gains from September, while the Nasdaq Composite Index dropped by 0.9%. Bond prices fell, causing yields to rise to multi-year highs: the yield on 10-year Treasury bonds rose to 5.23%, the highest since 2007; the yield on 30-year Treasury bonds rose to 5.55%; and the yield on 5-year Treasury bonds rose to 5.07%. Gold prices fell by nearly 4%, reaching their lowest level since early August. The dollar, oil prices, and Treasury bond yields all increased. Traders now expect a 70% probability of an interest rate hike in October, compared to less than 9% at the end of August.
