Goldman Sachs: Does not recommend buying bonds with a yield of 5% or more, prefers AI infrastructure

According to CoinMeta, Anshul Sehgal, the co-head of Goldman Sachs' global fixed income, currencies, and commodities business, stated that bonds with current yields exceeding 5% are not the best investment choices. He is more optimistic about AI infrastructure, considering it a more asymmetricly rewarding investment option than long-term bonds. Sehgal pointed out that the yield on 30-year Treasury bonds has been hovering around 5% in recent weeks. Although clients wish to purchase them at yields of 5% or higher, he believes that there is limited room for further increases. As yields continued to rise, reaching a new 52-week high of 5.56% on September 29th, Sehgal noted that the retiring baby boomers have reduced their purchases of long-term bonds, while long-term lending related to AI is putting pressure on the market. He also mentioned that concerns regarding the sustainability of U.S. debt are making investors reluctant to hold long-term debt, and this situation may continue. Sehgal believes that despite the rising yields, this does not necessarily undermine his investment theory.
