According to CoinMeta, MongoDB CEO CJ Desai resigned yesterday at 8:30 am to join Meta, giving up tens of millions of dollars in unvested compensation. Within eight hours of his departure, MongoDB's shareholders suffered a loss of over $6 billion in market value. The company's stock price plummeted from $401 to $360 at 8:31, with a $3 billion evaporation of market value within 60 seconds. By 4 pm New York time, the stock price closed down 18.5%, $6 billion lower than the previous day's closing price.
