Michael Saylor: Bitcoin is digital capital, STRC is digital credit
2026-09-29 21:56:40
According to CoinMeta, Michael Saylor stated in a post on X that Strategy uses Bitcoin capital to develop MSTR and STRC products. MSTR expands its Bitcoin exposure and operates in the digital credit business, while STRC aims to suppress volatility, compress duration, and provide dollar returns. The digital credit strategy focuses on reducing volatility, shortening duration, and extracting profits, with tools including issuing MSTR to buy BTC or exchanging for dollars, as well as two-way management of STRC supply. The proposal suggests daily dividends for preferred securities. The term "highest quality" refers only to design objectives, not credit ratings; STRC are perpetual preferred stocks, not deposits, and investors may lose their principal.
