According to CoinMeta, Circle and Volante Technologies announced a partnership on September 28, 2026, to integrate the payment and settlement processes of USDC into the existing payment infrastructure of Volante. This arrangement provides financial institutions with a way to test stablecoin activities in parallel with traditional payment systems without having to establish a separate digital asset stack. The platform of Volante has already been utilized by financial institutions including four of the world's top five corporate banks and seven of the top ten banks in the United States. This collaboration reflects a broader shift in payment design, with Volante describing their model as a new type of multi-track payment architecture that combines traditional systems with digital value transfer.
