CoinMeta data: The director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency appointed by Trump caused the market value of the credit giant FICO to lose $4 billion due to a single tweet. Government-backed mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will begin using VantageScore's 4.0 pricing for mortgages, ending FICO's monopoly. Pulte stated in the tweet that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will end the traditional roles of FICO by simplifying mortgage pricing. FICO's stock price fell by more than 20% in pre-market trading, with a market value loss of over 30%. Rocket Mortgage announced that it will give priority to using VantageScore 4.0, expected to save applicants $1,600 in closing costs. Since September, FICO's stock has lost 46% of its value, with a market value reduction of over $12 billion.
