According to CoinMeta, as reported by Bloomberg, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed lawsuits against Cryptoaiml Ltd and Tsai Pro Ltd. The commissions accuse these two platforms of using stock trading driven by AI as a guise to attract investors through WhatsApp groups, fake investment advisors, AI generated stock recommendations, and fabricated profit records. They also falsely claimed to be regulated by SEC, but in reality, no actual transactions were conducted. Instead, the platforms transferred the cryptocurrency and cash paid by customers to overseas accounts. SEC states that these two cases resulted in losses of over $15 million for hundreds of retail investors, with Cryptoaiml involving approximately $12.5 million and Tsai Pro involving more than $2.5 million. Cryptoaiml even submitted an exemption notice for securities issuance to the SEC in 2024 and was accused of using this document to create an illusion of being regulated.
