According to CoinMeta, on September 29th, OpenAI launched Dots, which is a constantly online AI proxy that can work towards user goals within connected application networks without the need for daily supervision. This move elevates its competition with Meta from chatbots to commercial software. Dots utilizes OpenAI's top product GPT-6 Astra, enabling communication with over 4,000 connected applications and accessible through ChatGPT, Slack, or Teams. OpenAI plans to implement SMS access in the near future, although no specific date has been set yet. Eligible professional and business advanced plan users can obtain a Dots for free, while corporate customers can access it through a test version enabled by administrators. OpenAI also announced the launch of a new professional plan with a monthly fee of $500. According to Gartner's predictions, global spending on AI models and platforms will reach $64.25 billion in 2026, representing a 63.4% increase from $39.31 billion in 2025.
