According to CoinMeta, llamarisk proposes to lower the borrowing limits before the unfreezing of AAVE, v3, and v4 to prevent attackers from establishing large positions following the Binance theft incident. This move will reduce the idle borrowing capacity by approximately $3.7 billion for AAVE and v3 and about $130 million for AAVE and v4. For markets where the borrowing amount before the incident exceeded $10 million and there was still more than $10 million in available space, the new limit will be the higher of the pre-incident borrowing amount and the current borrowing amount, plus an additional 2%. The borrowing limit for AAVE, v3, core, and WETH will be reduced from 2.4 million to 1.79 million, while the borrowing limit for USDT will be lowered from 3.09 billion to 2.56 billion. Attackers have already borrowed 19,762 WETH in AAVE, v3, and core.
