According to CoinMeta, Zhao Changpeng (CZ), the founder of Binance, stated that Binance may use an investment related to Elon Musk worth over $1 billion to cover the $6.3 billion in hacker losses. Binance has frozen approximately $3 billion to address this security breach. CZ confirmed the hack on October 29th in a tweet and stated that it is expected that all affected users will receive compensation. Although CZ's original tweet did not mention this plan, there are reports that Binance might utilize this investment to provide additional financial resources. This incident has compounded Binance's security crisis, and investigators are still tracking the stolen assets. In October 2022, Binance invested $500 million to support Musk's acquisition of Twitter, and this investment has now appreciated to over $1 billion, which could become an important financial resource for Binance when it needs additional liquidity.
