Starknet Account abstraction supports the replacement of verification logic; there is no plan to issue new tokens for now.

According to CoinMeta, Starknet indicates that its account abstraction feature supports the replacement of verification logic without changing the address, balance, or historical records, thereby enabling post-quantum migration without the need for a hard fork. As a Layer 2 solution for Ethereum, Starknet still relies on Ethereum and elliptic curve cryptography for settlement, data publication, and cross-chain bridging. Currently, in the independent research phase of L1, one can set their own cryptographic scheme and migration timeline. STRK remains a native token, with no plans to issue a new token at this time; migrating to L1 requires a governance vote.
