According to CoinMeta, Amazon ($AMZN) reported revenue of $20.194 billion in the third quarter, slightly below the market's expectation of $20.231 billion, and earnings of $1.89 per share, which fell short of the expected $1.97. Nevertheless, AWS growth accelerated to over 39%, the fastest in five years. CEO Andy Jassy stated that Amazon installs a AI accelerator every 14 seconds, and customers are absorbing capacity at a pace almost as fast as AWS goes live. The Gene Munster of Deepwater Asset Management pointed out that management hopes investors will view Amazon as a AI data center and semiconductor company, rather than just a retailer, with revenue growth expected to exceed 40% in 2027 and 2028. Amazon expects fourth-quarter revenue to be between $240 billion and $247 billion, while Wall Street's forecast is around $244.5 billion.
