According to CoinMeta, as reported by Glassnode, yesterday's Binance hacking incident became the largest in the history of cryptocurrency, with affected amounts exceeding $6 billion, surpassing the total of the next nine major hacking incidents. The previous largest hacking incident occurred in February 2025 with losses amounting to $1.5 billion. Since 2025, three of the top ten hacking incidents have taken place on exchanges.
