According to CoinMeta, a recent report by the Financial Times suggests that the recent fundraising boom for AI may face challenges. OpenAI has reduced its fundraising target by $10 billion and is now seeking $20 billion in funding, with its valuation dropping from $1.4 trillion to $1.25 trillion. Meanwhile, as a major investor in Anthropic's $63 billion chip financing deal, Blackstone has warned that Anthropic may not be able to obtain an investment-grade rating after IPO. According to Goldman Sachs, as of early October, investors had lent approximately $500 billion to companies related to AI. In October, the cost of debt default insurance for several companies related to AI surged sharply; the five-year credit default swap spread for CoreWeave exceeded 1,100 basis points in mid-October, the spread for Oracle was around 300 basis points, and Meta set a new historical high of 114.79 basis points on October 22.
