According to CoinMeta, the UK Maritime Trade Operations Office ( UKMTO ) reported that in October, there were over 30 attacks on merchant vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, the Gulf of Oman, and the Arabian Gulf, marking the highest number for a single month since the outbreak of the Iran-Iraq war. Since February 28th, the office has recorded 145 such incidents, and it is possible that even more attacks have occurred, with many possibly going unreported.
