According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Reuters, Iranian negotiators held talks with Qatari mediators for the third consecutive day on Sunday, with the aim of reaching an agreement to end the war between the United States and Israel against Iran. These talks come amid concerns that the conflict could escalate again as the U.S. mid-term elections approach. U.S. President Donald Trump has previously stated that the U.S. will not launch new attacks on Iran before the elections and claimed that dialogue with Tehran has been fruitful, but he has not ruled out the possibility of taking further military action thereafter. The Iranian side has repeatedly stated that in the event of a new attack, they will target American and Israeli facilities in neighboring countries. U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Saturday that Trump has not yet decided whether to launch new attacks on Iran, but is more inclined to resolve the conflict through diplomatic means.
