According to CoinMeta, Goldman Sachs has raised its forecasts for oil prices at the end of this year and in 2027, citing increased risks to crude oil supply. As conflicts in the Middle East have persisted for months, Goldman Sachs has joined other banks in raising its oil price projections. Analysts led by Daan Struyven and Yulia Zhestkova Grigsby stated in a report that the price of Brent crude oil is expected to reach $105 per barrel in December, higher than the previous forecast of $90 per barrel for the whole of next year, with an average price forecast of $88 per barrel, which is 10% higher than the earlier prediction. The analysts also raised their price forecasts for WTI crude oil, stating, "There are significant downside risks on the supply side, which may keep the short-term risk premium at a relatively high level." They added in a report released on November 1 that the market is "taking into account more and more the potential for an escalation of tensions after the U.S. midterms on November 3, as well as the subsequent possible weakening of crude oil supply from the Middle East."
