Teucrium An exchange-traded fund that bets on the XRP decline has had its effective date postponed again, for a total of 19 times now. Foreign media reports that this situation is relatively rare in the US market, as the company's leveraged long products targeting XRP have already begun trading.

It should be noted that the date of October 11 mentioned in the latest document does not equate to the product being confirmed for listing and trading. The main adjustment to the related filings is regarding the effective time of the registration statement, while the public offering is still described as "to be carried out as soon as possible under feasible circumstances."

The reason for the extension of the file is not specified.

Foreign media reports that Teucrium submitted documents multiple times in 2026 through Form 485BXT, continuously changing the effective date of this fund. A document from July clearly stated that the "sole purpose" of the submissions was to delay the effective date, which was then changed to August 16th, and similar operations continued thereafter.

The existing documents do not indicate that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has rejected this product, nor do they specify that the launch has been postponed due to liquidity issues, regulatory concerns, or insufficient investor demand. Therefore, at this stage, there is still a lack of public and direct explanations as to why this ETF has not been launched yet.

Long positions on multiple products have already been traded.

In contrast, the Teucrium double-long daily XRP ETF has already been in operation. Its prospectus indicates that the goal of this product is to track twice the daily price performance of XRP.

In addition, Teucrium does not seem to have given up on short-selling products. An investment advisory agreement signed on August 4 listed a 2x long position in the daily XRP ETF and a 2x short position in the daily XRP ETF; the advisory fee for both funds is 1.89%.

This means that there are already bullish leveraged XRP products in the current US market, but the corresponding bearish products are still continuously delaying their timelines.

XRP Fund capital flow continues to increase

Foreign media mentioned that as short-selling of ETF was postponed, the presence of XRP in US investment products continued to rise. Although the price of XRP fluctuated around the $1.30 range for a time, spot XRP ETF still recorded continuous net inflows recently.

According to the data cited in the text, on September 1st, the related product saw a daily inflow of approximately 14.38 million US dollars, extending the consecutive net inflow record to 11 trading days. More recent data indicates that during a period of hedging transactions, the XRP fund outperformed Bitcoin, Ethereum, and the ETF related to Solana.

Institutional holdings are also increasing. Goldman Sachs, Jane Street, and Millennium Management have appeared on the list of major holders of the disclosed XRP ETF.

Foreign media believes that the market will continue to focus on the date of October 11th in the coming days. However, after 19 delays, what is now of greater concern is not just the effective date, but whether Teucrium will ultimately allow investors to trade short products related to XRP.
