Japanese investment and Bitcoin vault company Metaplanet launched a net interest income strategy on Monday, aiming to invest capital in profitable assets and use the net interest income to drive its Bitcoin accumulation and dividend payments.
This move is part of the company's revised capital allocation policy. Under this policy, 10% to 15% of assets can be allocated to strategic investments, including mergers and acquisitions as well as assets that generate interest income.
In a notice on Monday, Metaplanet disclosed that Bitcoin (BTC) remains the company's core treasury reserve asset, accounting for 85% to 90% of total assets. This decision is aimed at enhancing the financing capability and credit quality of this Japanese company, in order to increase the amount of Bitcoin held per share through further acquisitions.

It was also mentioned in the original text that about a year ago, the enterprise value of Metaplanet fell below the value of its Bitcoin holdings.

However, the original text also contains a quote that is not coherent with the context: “Bitcoin Pharaoh wrote in a post on X on Friday: ‘Either the indirect holding is his in which case the deleted sentence was closer to the truth or it is not in which case the correction is incomplete.’”
In addition, the end of the text contains navigation and recommendation content such as “Magazine”, “More on the subject”, suggesting that the displayed material may not be the complete text.
