Washington, October 21st / PRNewswire / -- Leader in the field of industrial identity security, Corsha, today announced the launch of Folio. This is a new module on the Corsha industrial identity security platform that can automatically create and update operational maps and documents, showing how industrial systems are connected and how they communicate. Folio is built on real-time network and access data, providing teams with a systematic record that reflects how the OT systems are currently operating, not just how they were initially designed. Security and operations teams can use this “as-it-stands now” view to identify risks and deviations, prepare for incidents, and accelerate compliance efforts.

Keeping the "current operation" documentation of industrial networks up to date is a tedious manual task. In many cases, the OT documentation simply does not exist; even when it does, the environment has often deviated too far from the original design to be of much use to the OT team. Manual assessments usually require weeks of work across multiple tools, and the compliance materials produced are often incomplete and inaccurate.

Folio utilizes the capabilities of Corsha Gatekeepers to capture identities, connections, and data flows on the OT network, answering questions such as "who is communicating, when they are communicating, why they are communicating, and how they are communicating." The team can generate derived hardware lists, real-time connection diagrams, as well as Microsoft Visio data flow diagrams. Relevant documents can be shared among OT, security, and network teams, and are specifically designed for risk management and compliance frameworks, including IEC 62443, NERC CIP, and zero trust.

Unlike previous manual methods, Folio integrates real-time connections, data streams, machine identities, and access intelligence. It does not create more dashboards that overwhelm users with data, but rather generates actionable results that help teams assess risks, make real-time decisions, and advance modernization with greater confidence.

"When the operational landscape no longer reflects the actual way a company operates, industrial enterprises are unable to safely advance modernization," said Anusha Iyer, founder and CEO of Corsha. "_Folio is built on the core identity intelligence of our platform, providing security and operations leaders with an accurate and up-to-date understanding of each machine, each connection, and their use within the environment. This means faster recovery in the event of incidents, compliance that keeps up with changes, and a clear path for adopting new technologies such as robotics and physical _AI. We are excited about the application of this _AI and machine learning within the _Corsha platform, as it can automate tedious but critical tasks in daily operations."

Folio supports three core use cases:

  • Daily operations: For the OT operators who assess risks, make daily decisions, and respond to incidents, Folio no longer requires manual maintenance of system and network documentation.
  • Continuous compliance: For the OT leaders who are working to remove barriers to innovative compliance, such as operational authorization ( ATO ), zero trust, and NERC CIP, Folio can provide updated system, connection, and architecture documents within minutes.
  • Accelerated technology adoption: For OT leaders and architects who introduce advanced robotics, physical AI, predictive analytics, and other technologies, Folio can assist teams in assessing the impact of new industrial capabilities on brownfield environments, thereby accelerating production deployment.

The main functions of Folio include:

  • Real-time visualization – Utilizing the Corsha Industrial Identity Security Platform and its Gatekeepers, it provides the most timely “current operating status” view on the OT network.
  • Connective intelligence – not only maps asset inventories but also connects and data flows, enabling teams to answer the questions of 'what, where, when, and why' necessary for protection and modernized operations.
  • Identity core —— Built on the identity-based foundation of the Corsha platform, it monitors and tracks changes that cannot be revealed by the IP address alone, ensuring that assessments remain accurate as operations evolve.
  • Architectural Design – Allows the team to design boundaries, regions, and machine groups in real-time on Connection Canvas. This canvas displays data flows, connections, as well as the segments and policies that are already in effect and being executed.
  • IEC 62443 native support – All evaluation outputs exported from Connection Canvas use the industry-standard IEC 62443 language.
  • Supports Visio export – exports accurate operation charts to Microsoft Visio, facilitating collaboration among teams using the most common OT design format.

With the new Corsha Folio module, enterprises can reduce the time spent on compliance activities by several orders of magnitude, decrease recovery times due to security incidents and errors, prevent misconfigurations and downtime by always maintaining the latest system specifications, and eliminate the cost of manually maintaining operational documents.
