It is reported that Gulf International Bank ( UK ), supported by Saudi Arabia, has disclosed a multi-million dollar investment in one of the world's largest corporate Bitcoin holders.

According to the 13F filing submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Gulf International Bank (based in London) (UK) reported that as of the end of September, it held 19,842 shares of Strategy stock.

As of the third quarter, Gulf International Bank held Strategy shares valued at approximately $3.04 million, however, based on current market estimates, their value is around $2.9 million.

This is not the first time this entity has invested in Bitcoin. In fact, Gulf International Bank ( UK ) has been holding Strategy stocks since 2024.

In the latest document, Gulf International Bank ( UK ) indicates that they did not adjust their position in Strategy during the third quarter of 2026.

Gulf International Bank Previous Bitcoin Exposure

In the past two years, there have been significant fluctuations in the size of Strategy shares held by Gulf International Bank.

The first report of holding Strategy shares was in the second quarter of 2024. At that time, the entity held 1,285 shares of MicroStrategy, valued at approximately $1.77 million.

However, after MicroStrategy conducted a 1-for-10 stock split in August 2024, this holding quantity is equivalent to 12,850 shares.

As of June 2025, Gulf International Bank ( UK ) held 12,774 shares of Strategy, worth approximately 5.16 million US dollars.

This represents the highest valuation in the Strategy position reported at the end of the quarter to date.

By the end of 2025, Gulf International Bank will hold 13,249 shares of Strategy, worth approximately $2.01 million.

In the first quarter of 2026, the bank significantly increased its holdings of Strategy stocks.

An additional 6,958 shares were acquired in this transaction, bringing the total number of shares held by Strategy to 20,207. This represents an increase of approximately 53% in their holdings of Strategy.

However, in the second quarter, the bank sold 365 shares, reducing Strategy's holdings to 19,842 shares. As of the end of June, the value of these shares was approximately $1.72 million.

The latest documents show that there was no change in the number of shares held in the third quarter.

Saudi Arabia's indirect Bitcoin exposure

Gulf International Bank has close relations with the Saudi government.

The report states that the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund ( PIF ) holds 97.2% of the shares.

Therefore, in essence, Gulf International Bank obtains an indirect exposure to Bitcoin by holding shares of Strategy, rather than directly holding Bitcoin itself.

The company under the leadership of Executive Chairman Michael Saylor (Michael Saylor) is the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin in the world.

According to its most recent purchase reported on October 19th, the company's current holdings of cryptocurrencies amount to 848,517 Bitcoin.
