South Korea's Hana Bank issues $100 million in foreign currency digital bonds through Euroclear

According to CoinMeta, South Korea's second-largest bank Hana Bank issued $100 million in foreign currency digital bonds through the distributed ledger infrastructure D-FMI of Euroclear, marking the first time a South Korean financial institution has directly used blockchain infrastructure Euroclear to issue bonds. The distribution and payment of the bonds were completed on the same day of issuance, reducing the traditional settlement cycle of 3–5 working days to T+0. Chartered served as the exclusive lead underwriter.
