According to CoinMeta, Coinbase opened access to its initial public offering (IPO) for eligible U.S. retail investors on September 21st. The COIN stock price rose to $206.63, a 6.37% increase from the previous trading day. Coinbase also launched a collaboration with Oura, allowing users to apply for IPO stocks before the public trading began. Although the overall market rise makes it difficult to attribute the increase solely to IPO's IPO, COIN stocks performed strongly during Monday's trading, reaching a intraday high of $208.33. Analyst Michael Miller raised his fair value estimate for Coinbase to $168, although he still believes that the stock price is overvalued. Coinbase stated that eligible users can apply for IPO stocks directly through their application, and the final allocation will depend on the underwriter's supply and customer demand.
