According to CoinMeta, despite Bitcoin rising by 47% in the past 24 hours, holders have not been eager to realize their profits. According to the latest data shared by the Bitfinex exchange, Bitcoin’s adjusted expenditure-to-profit ratio ( ASOPR ) is currently around 1.01, indicating that holders are still making small profits despite the significant price increase. The ASOPR indicator measures whether Bitcoin expenditures on the chain are profitable or loss-making; a value above 1 indicates an average profit. Bitcoin’s current ratio of 1.01 is only slightly above the break-even point, which is particularly notable compared to its breakthrough in August. Bitfinex points out that this increase in Bitcoin prices has not led to a corresponding surge in realized profits. Bitcoin briefly fell below $58,000 at the beginning of July but has now climbed above $86,000, reaching its highest level since January. This rebound has also brought about an important technical breakthrough; U.Today reports that Bitcoin closed the week of September 20 at $81,159, breaking through its 50-week moving average of $78,786 for the first time, marking the first time in 45 weeks that the cryptocurrency has achieved this milestone.
