CoinMeta data: Bitcoin is expected to set a 14-year high in performance in September 2026, with a gain of about 10.1%. This achievement is particularly noteworthy as September has traditionally been the month when Bitcoin performs weakest. According to historical data, Bitcoin recorded negative returns in September for six consecutive years from 2017 to 2022. This trend finally came to an end in 2023, and positive returns were also seen in 2024 and 2025. However, this year's gain is significantly larger, approaching the 13.1% increase seen in September 2012. Bitcoin recently broke through $87,000, reaching its highest level since January, accompanied by capital inflows into US spot Bitcoin ETF and strong replenishment in derivatives. On September 21, there was a net inflow of approximately $999 million into US spot Bitcoin ETF in a single day. Although Bitcoin's overall performance in 2026 has been stable, it is still down by about 31% from its historical high of $126,080 in October last year.
