After Liquid Network was attacked, the redemption of l-BTC was suspended; attackers hold over 51 million US dollars in Bitcoin

According to CoinMeta, affected by the Liquid Network attack on September 6th, Bull Bitcoin users are temporarily unable to exchange l-BTC for Bitcoin. Services are expected to resume within 30 days, and incoming Lightning Network payments have been temporarily disabled. The attackers transferred 4,000 Bitcoins from the protocol, later returned about 3,400 of them, and currently still hold 598.50 Bitcoins, valued at over 51 million US dollars. Liquid Network stated on September 17th that block production, network transactions, and l-BTC transfers have returned to normal.
