Kalshi: Not investigated by CFTC, transaction activities are normal
2026-09-24 03:14:19
CoinMeta data: Kalshi indicates that the firm has not been investigated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and has not been contacted, refuting reports of regulatory scrutiny regarding its trading activities. A spokesperson for Kalshi, Elisabeth Diana, stated, "We have not received any contact from CFTC and do not believe there is any formal investigation." She added that these data patterns are typical of liquidity incentive programs and are common in financial markets. Coindesk reports that the trading volume in Kalshi's Bitcoin and Ethereum perpetual futures markets is composed mostly of transactions of similar size, with many Ethereum perpetual futures transactions concentrated around $5,500, and Bitcoin perpetual futures transactions around $2,500 or $5,000. CFTC is reviewing Kalshi's trading activities to decide whether to initiate an enforcement investigation. Diana also mentioned that Kalshi has "numerous tools" and a "complete monitoring team" to prevent money laundering transactions and self-trading.
