Rising government bond yields may put pressure on risky assets

According to CoinMeta and reports from Zhitong Finance, analyst Patrick Munnelly stated in a report that the accelerating rise in government bond yields may put pressure on risk assets. The yield on 10-year U.S. Treasury bonds rose to 5.148% during trading, reaching the highest level since 2007, reflecting that markets have already factored in the expectation of further interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve in the coming months. Data from LSEG shows that robust economic growth, combined with concerns about inflation, has led markets to expect central banks to raise interest rates multiple times over the next year. Munnelly said, "If yields continue to climb and reach new highs for the cycle, even with positive news regarding artificial intelligence and trade, the performance of risk assets will face pressure."
