Anthropic Founder Seeking the First 50.1% Voting Rights of IPO
2026-09-26 01:52:08
According to CoinMeta, the founder of Anthropic plans to obtain 50.1% of the voting rights before the company goes public on IPO. CEO Dario Amodei and the other six co-founders will jointly hold this power. According to a report by "Information," Anthropic is seeking shareholder approval for a special class of shares in order to gain voting rights prior to its listing. This plan will give the seven founders a majority of voting rights on most matters, provided that at least three founders continue to hold the minimum number of company shares. Each founder currently holds about 2% of the shares, and the proposed shares will increase their voting rights without increasing their economic interests. This plan is similar to the founder control structure used by Palantir. Shareholder approval is still a prerequisite for Anthropic's proposal.
