Google recently announced that its product security team has developed an autonomous system named Pagebreak, aimed at proactively identifying real and exploitable vulnerabilities in its own web applications. The system will begin piloting in November 2025 and is scheduled to be fully implemented in January 2026. The mission of Pagebreak is to automate vulnerability detection and reduce manual intervention. The system has identified over 500 Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities, and only two vulnerabilities have been found under Google's new high-security network framework, proving the effectiveness of fundamentally building more secure software.
