2026-09-26 04:19:10
According to CoinMeta, Coinbase posted on the X platform that they have launched a fixed-rate, fixed-term USDC loan secured by Bitcoin, allowing borrowers to obtain USDC without having to sell their Bitcoin. The interest rate and repayment date of this product are determined at the start of the loan. If the borrower fails to repay the USDC and interest before the due date, the mortgaged Bitcoin may be reclaimed. The current active or outstanding loan amount for Bitcoin mortgage loans with floating rates, which are supported by Morpho, has exceeded $1.4 billion, with the value of the collateral being approximately $3 billion.
