The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), a long-time supporter of the crypto industry, Commissioner Hester Peirce announced that she will leave her position next week, marking the end of an era of prolonged efforts to clarify industry regulations. Her last working day is set for October 2nd. In her resignation letter posted on social media, Peirce mentioned that despite a series of recent crypto policy initiatives by SEC, she has consistently dedicated her time to striving for clear regulatory rules for the crypto industry during her tenure. Known as the "Crypto Mom," she was given the opportunity to establish industry rules during President Trump's administration and served as the head of the new crypto task force under SEC. Her work covered a range of policy statements and guidelines regarding mining, staking, token classification, and more.
