Oracle: Larry Ellison and his co-CEO receive nearly $1 billion in stock options
2026-09-26 19:50:39
Oracle granted stock options with a total value of approximately $988 million to founder Larry Ellison and his new co-CEO. However, by the end of the fiscal year, all of these options had become underwater. Although Oracle's cloud business achieved a total return of 38% in the fiscal year 2026, due to stock price fluctuations, the exercise prices of all options were higher than the current stock price. Ellison's stock options were valued at $117.8 million at the time of grant, with an exercise price of $280, while the co-CEO's exercise price was $308. Despite the decline in stock prices, Oracle's cloud revenue still grew by 39%, reaching $34 billion.
