Brazil will report all cryptocurrency transactions exceeding $10,000
2026-09-27 01:16:18
Starting from October 1st, Brazil will require the reporting of all cryptocurrency transactions exceeding $10,000, including deposits and withdrawals from self-managed wallets. Regulated cryptocurrency companies must report these transactions to Brazil's financial intelligence unit COAF. This rule applies to withdrawals and deposits from self-managed wallets and is not a ban or restriction on transactions themselves. Starting from January 2027, relevant companies will also be required to retain transactions exceeding $10,000 in self-managed wallets for up to 24 hours.
