According to CoinMeta, the official of THORChain stated on the X platform that in response to the recent theft case of Bitget, THORChain is deeply affected and pointed out that, like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and BNB chains, it is decentralized and permissionless, and should not be held responsible for money laundering activities. THORChain also mentioned that services were suspended for 39 days due to a hacker attack, and members of the cryptocurrency community in the comment section expressed shame over this, considering the differentiated treatment of the two situations to be unfair.
