Binance Pay launches in Vietnam, allowing users to make payments by scanning QR codes with stablecoins

According to CoinMeta, Binance Pay's offline usage experience in Vietnam has been implemented. Users can scan merchants' QR codes with Binance Pay to make payments using stablecoins such as USDT and USDC, with merchants receiving payments in Vietnamese Dong. This model relies on local payment channels such as VietQR and Momo and is compatible with the QR code payment scenarios of a large number of offline merchants. This approach reduces the barriers for users to exchange currency and for merchants to understand crypto assets. However, whether this model can be replicated in more countries still depends on the local payment networks, compliance requirements, partners, and user habits.
