According to CoinMeta, Wu said that b14g reported on the progress of recovering from the security incident, stating that the core network has undergone a hard fork and approximately 68.15 million core tokens have been recovered from addresses controlled by three attackers, which accounts for 70.2% of the approximately 97.05 million core tokens affected in the security incident on October 31. This recovery was achieved through a one-time on-chain state adjustment, transferring the stolen tokens to designated recovery addresses without rolling back any transactions, issuing additional tokens, or changing the total supply of core. The recovered assets have not yet been distributed to the affected users, nor have the related assets held or frozen by exchanges been returned. b14g is currently coordinating with exchanges and law enforcement agencies for further recovery efforts and is formulating a plan for distributing the users' assets.
