Morgan Stanley downgrades rating of Coinbase to 'reduce holdings', target price lowered to $120
2026-11-02 21:33:54
According to CoinMeta, as reported by CNBC, Morgan Stanley has downgraded its rating on Coinbase shares from equal weight to reduce holdings, with the target price lowered from $258 to $120. Analyst Michael Cyprys stated that the weakening trading trend and uncertainties in the crypto market are affecting profits. Coinbase's fourth-quarter trading revenue is expected to be $165 million, lower than the market consensus of $685 million. After experiencing a hacker attack costing $60 million, crypto trading stagnation has dragged down Coinbase's profits and stock price, prompting Morgan Stanley to lower its revenue and EBITDA forecasts for 2027.
