Alphabet Issues 6 Billion Euros in Bonds; After the Stock Market Historically Erases 500 Billion Dollars
2026-11-03 01:30:08
According to CoinMeta, Alphabet launched a 6 billion euro (about 6.9 billion US dollars) European bond issuance on November 2nd, attracting orders worth over 17 billion euros. This issuance took place after Google's parent company experienced a historic stock market sell-off that wiped out more than 500 billion dollars in market value. The issuance of these seven tranches of bonds demonstrates investors' ongoing demand for technology companies' debt, despite growing concerns regarding spending on artificial intelligence. Alphabet estimates that capital expenditures will reach 205 billion US dollars by 2026, with the majority of funds to be invested in computing infrastructure, servers, and data centers.
