Palantir hopes to provide the AI system to Japan
2026-11-03 07:34:55
According to CoinMeta, as reported by Nikkei News, Kapu, the CEO of Palantir ( PLTR.N ), stated that Japan may gain an advantage in developing AI technology stacks suitable for its national defense needs, indicating the company's desire to provide AI systems to the Japanese Self-Defense Forces. He emphasized that Japan's private sector needs to develop, train, and control its own artificial intelligence models to protect its intellectual property. It is claimed that the U.S. military uses Palantir technology to reduce the time required to select targets from 12 hours to just 1 minute. Kapu mentioned that the challenge for Japan's next-generation defense systems lies in developing a set of artificial intelligence products specifically for defense, rather than building systems for large military institutions like the United States does.
