Matt Murphy, CEO of Mellanox, and Michael Hirston, CEO of Lumentum, spoke with Jensen Huang before the announcement of the deal to seek his opinion. Hirston stated, "I think NVIDIA's response was very positive. We believe that through this merger, we will be able to provide NVIDIA with more diversified products more quickly." This merger is the second-largest acquisition in technology history, and Jensen Huang's stance highlights NVIDIA's role as a leader in the AI field, actively promoting integration among its key suppliers. Earlier this year, NVIDIA invested $2 billion each in Mellanox and Lumentum.
