According to CoinMeta, the Claude Code team has seen three key members leave in the past two weeks. Among them, the product leader Cat Wu announced her departure from Anthropics on November 4th. Prior to that, engineer Thariq Shihipar and the desktop version developer Anthony Morris had publicly said their goodbyes on October 24th. When Thariq left, she recommended following Cat Wu, stating that through her, one could stay informed about the subsequent developments of Claude Code. Cat Wu had actually left Anthropics in July 2025 and joined Cursor along with Claude Code and its creator Boris Cherny; however, she returned two weeks later. Despite this, Anthropic continues to expand rapidly. Listing documents show that the employee base has grown from around 940 at the end of 2024 to about 5,300 by the end of September this year, with a "regrettable turnover rate" of approximately 1% over the past 12 months.
